Professor Michele Haynes is Professor of Data Analytics in Education Research at the Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education. Her research focuses on methodological innovation for longitudinal social research including analysis of academic performance and wellbeing trajectories for children through the school years and identifying the factors that trigger improvements and maintain performance. Michele is currently lead researcher on an Education Horizon project that uses administrative data to investigate factors that impact on long-term achievement and retention for students with autism spectrum disorder in Queensland government schools, and a co-investigator on an ARC Linkage grant for a project that studies the effectiveness of community-based STEM professional learning for teachers of middle years. She has multiple ARC Linkage grants and is a CI on a recent ARC Discovery grant and an ARC Centre of Excellence. She has considerable experience leading projects for government agencies, including the Australian Federal Police, the Commonwealth Department of Social Service. |
