Professor Seddon is a veterinarian and a molecular geneticist and has an established and international reputation in using genetic tools to address ecological questions in support of the conservation of wildlife. She has 168 publications with an h-index of 44 and prior to her current appointment, Prof Seddon was Deputy Head of School, Veterinary Science at UQ. She has an international research reputation in phylogeography and population genetics, working to develop multidisciplinary, practical solutions for the conservation of wildlife. With a significant track record in grant funding, PhD supervision and over 90 peer reviewed publications, Prof Seddon has been responsible for enhancing research performance across a diverse array of scientific disciplines, building research partnerships, and supporting the development of researchers and research students in one of Australia’s largest and most research intensive science faculties.
