Professor Hongxia Wang

Fellow

  • Bio/Profile
  •
  • Professor Wang’s research is focused on development of cost-effective optoelectrical devices (solar cells, light emitting diodes, photodetectors), supercapacitors, batteries, solar fuels as well as related integrated devices for variable environmental conditions both on earth and in outer space through innovative materials design and synthesis, device architecture design as well as in-depth understanding of the fundamental mechanism of the materials in devices. Her key projects are: Perovskite based solar cells, sensitized solar cells, earth-abundant think film solar cells, and supercapicitors and batteries. She has been awarded as Future Fellowship and an ARC PDF, three ARC Discovery grants, four LIEF grants and and two Linkage grants. She was a member of the ARC College of Experts. Her work has been cited more than 10,000 times and she has an H-index of 56.

? She has led an $10 million (AUD) ARC Industrial transformation research hub on developing innovative energy technology achieving Zero Emission Power Generation for Carbon Neutrality as Deputy Director.
? 75 planetary/keynote/invited presentations at prestigious international conferences.
? A patented technology on perovskite solar cells fabrication using carbon electrode has been licensed to two Australian companies.
? Has been recognized as world’s top 2% scientist by Stanford ranking since 2020 and as a highly cited author in Royal Society Chemistry (RSC) Journal.
? Elected as a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and Fellow of Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI).
